Hi there! We’re Mina and Kelly — husband and wife, co-chefs, and the slightly chaotic duo behind Dishetodo.
We met in a tiny kitchen in Montreal, both working the line at a neighborhood bistro. Kelly was the sous-chef who could dice an onion blindfolded; I (Mina) was the pastry apprentice who kept sneaking savory bites. We bonded over burnt toast, late-night ramen, and the unspoken rule that whoever breaks the hollandaise has to buy the next round.
Honestly, we never planned to start a blog. But somewhere between catering gigs, pop-up dinners, and a pandemic that turned our dining room into a test kitchen, we realized we had a lot of stories — and recipes — to share. Not the polished kind, but the real ones: the “this sauce saved our marriage” kind, or the “we argued for an hour over whether to add cumin” kind.
Dishetodo is our messy, honest, and deeply personal love letter to food. It’s where we document the dishes that shaped us — from Kelly’s grandmother’s Sunday roasts to my mom’s impossibly flaky spanakopita. It’s also where we experiment, fail, and sometimes accidentally create something magical.
We believe food is more than sustenance; it’s memory, culture, and connection. Whether you’re a seasoned home cook or someone who just figured out how to boil water, we hope our stories and recipes inspire you to explore, taste, and maybe even make a mess in your own kitchen.
Thanks for stopping by. We’re glad you’re here.
